Passion at Play, Victory in Motion: The Story Behind the Töka Jersey
When I imagined the first drop for Töka Studios, I knew it had to be more than a product. I wanted to create something that could funnel back into my community, something that gave as much as it inspired.
The name Töka comes from my family’s ancestral village in Guinea. This jersey is my way of honoring those roots while building a bridge to the future. Töka Studios isn’t just a brand that celebrates culture; it’s a platform that invests in it.
A Vision Born from Heritage
Growing up in Guinea, I witnessed my community carry stories of resilience, connection, and the kind of collective dreaming that turns villages into legacies. I also saw the gaps — the schools that needed rebuilding, the resources that weren’t there, the children with boundless potential but limited access to the tools they needed to thrive.
I wanted Töka Studios to be different. Not just a brand that celebrates culture, but one that actively invests in it. That’s why 10% of every jersey sold will go toward rebuilding a school in the village of Töka, so the children there can learn, dream, and carry forward the same spirit of possibility that inspired this project.
Finding Heritage Everywhere
We shot the Töka Jersey in Mexico City, and it felt like home. The rhythm of the streets, the vibrant colors, the sense of community — all so familiar. It reminded me that heritage isn’t limited to one place. It lives wherever people gather to dream, create, and build together.
Whether it’s a pickup game in Conakry, a studio session in Mexico City, or a creative hub anywhere in the world, the spirit is the same. This jersey is for the creatives, the dreamers, and everyone who wears their heritage like a badge of honor.
